Country Club of Fairfax Wedding- Carla & Justin
When Carla and Justin wanted to hire me as their wedding photographer in May 2014, I told them I had never shot a wedding before. But they trusted me and hired me any way. I had been photographing for 6 months and I was totally clueless about business and technical aspects of the photography. But I promised myself to improve my skills little by little everyday.
When it was time for The Big Day, I was as excited as Carla and Justin. I didn't want to disappoint them since they trusted me to document the most important day of their lives. I studied and practiced. I rented the best lenses. I convinced my poor husband to be my second photographer.
I was ready! Really nervous, but ready. First, I started to shoot in the beautiful bride's home while she was getting ready. The moment I started to take the photos of her shoes, ring, and invitation, my fear was gone. It was one more time I felt that I was right when I decided to be a photographer.
When we came to Emmanuel Lutheran Church for the ceremony, I felt very emotional like it was my own wedding. The round structure of the church was so unique and reflected very elegantly in the photos.
On our way to the Country Club of Fairfax for the party, the gray clouds had already covered the sky. We were racing Mother Nature. I knew I only had a couple minutes to get everybody together for some outdoor shots. And We did it! We had some wonderful photos in 5 minutes right before the heavy rain started.
It was the first time I had been in the Country Club of Fairfax and I LOVED it. The outdoor view was so pretty and the indoor decoration was very elegant. Perfect combination!
And the First Dance!
And the First Dance with the father and the mother!
During the reception, everybody including me had a wonderful time:)
Congratulations Carla and Justin again! Thank you very much for trusting me and letting me be a part of your special day.
